Looking for an exciting and interesting way to make a difference in promoting one of the North East’s oldest heritage sites?
There are many opportunities for young and old, from students to those who are retired, for voluntary work at this historic heritage site, which dates back to AD 674.
Here are some of the posts we seek to fill:
Volunteering at St.Peter’s, you can:
“The more I spend time here the more I love the place.”
“I became a guide just as a welcomer but now I am interested to learn the history and to become a guide. For me it’s been like joining a University of the Third Age.”
“I am not a churchgoer myself, but I see this place as somewhere special in the North-East.”
“I came to this merely through my interest in local history.”
“It is a nice and welcoming place especially now that we have Bede’s Bakehouse café!”
